A Quick Clarification About Our Billing / Shipping Cycle
< Blog Home Article by Pomora - Date: Thu, 09 Jan 2020
We've had several enquiries since the New Year asking when you can expect to receive your olio nuovo so we thought we'd write a quick blog post about our billing / shipping cycle. But please do rest assured that your nuovo is on its way!
Our standard billing / shipping cycle is:
Bill 15th Dec -> ship mid-Jan
Bill 15th Mar -> ship early Apr
Bill 15th Jun -> ship early Jul
Bill 15th Sep -> ship early Oct
We always leave some time between billing and shipping in order to resolve any payment issues etc. It's an unfortunate reality of being a quarterly subscription service that 1/12th of all payment cards with a 3-year lifespan expire each billing cycle and when it happens, we have to write to ask for new card details.
The gap between billing and shipping is greatest for the winter shipment as we are also waiting for the new season's oil to arrive from Italy. This year's nuovo was collected on 7th/8th January by our shipping company, Alberti e Santi, and we expect to receive it on or around 16th January. Once we receive it, it now takes about 3 days for us to sort through it, put the recipe cards into the boxes, put on shipping labels and get it into the post to you.
We use the lovely Royal Mail for shipping (special mention to the boys and girls at the Longmore Avenue Sorting Office for looking after us so well all year - thank you!). For the UK, we use the Royal Mail 48 service which has an estimated delivery time of 2-3 working days; for the US, we use the Royal Mail International Priority service which has an estimated delivery time of 6-8 working days.
So, assuming there are no unexpected bumps in the road, UK Adoptive Parents should receive their winter shipment by ~23rd January and US by ~30th January.
Happy New Year.
